Hi Nicolas, You are welcome to India. Airfare is very cheap in india and it can save you a lot of travel time. as you have only 3 weeks, i suggest you travel by air for longer routes as india 's trains are not as fast as european trains. for shorter distances you should take trains as it is more convinient and foreigners have a special reserved seats. any foreigner can go to the booking station in person and book tickets. if you can confirm your itinerary, maybe i could help you out more. and if you ever come to mumbai, drop me a message. i would be glad to meet up. muneeb

Train: Trains have classes, sleeper class, A/c chair cars, 3 Tiers, 2 Tiers and A/c First Class. Trains can be good to feel India closely. There are special tourists trains across at tourist destinations, some of them are darjeeling - toy trains, Rajasthan - Palace on Wheels and few more runs through south India. Trains from boarding point to destination, can be time consuming if you are short of tme, Airplanes are advisable. Bus: Busses are available from cities to tourist destinations across India. If you are going to Pudducherry, Bus is available from Chennai. Or Towards Goa from Mumbai. Busses too have classes A/C Seats, Sleepers, and Non A/c Busses. Intracity Busses are with State Transports, which can be enjoyed within the city. Airplanes: Air Routes connects to all major places in India. It can shorten your time to travel and can be relaxing.
